We are happy to offer a conservation refuge for flora and fauna threatened by modern development, which is destroying the natural landscape of Israel at a frightening pace. Many donors have contributed olive trees, some of which are hundreds of years old. Hani Mazzawi and Samuel Basha managed the restoration phase in the summer of 1999, setting the stage for reconstructing the village which began in November of that year.
